Dongfeng Fengshen’s new mid-size SUV Haoji was officially released. The new car will debut on April 13. It is based on Dongfeng Group’s DSMA advanced modular architecture platform. The first SUV, the new car is scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2022.

This new SUV adopts a striking waterfall front grille design, and features a split headlamp design. Above the central grille there is a thin LED strip, separated in the middle by the brand logo, a fairly common arrangement in China today. In addition, the front of the car also has clusters of lights in two air holes, creating the impression of a bright eye in a dark corner.

The Dongfeng Aeolus Haoji has a two-tone body design. Along with the wheels, rearview mirror, and door handles, the A, B, and C pillars have also been painted black. The overall dimensions of this vehicle do not look small, and it has a large area behind the C-pillar. It is expected that the space inside the Haoji will provide occupants with great comfort. At the bottom edge of the window is a pronounced ribbed line, extending straight from the front to the rear of the car.

The rear of the car adopts LED through-type taillights. Part of the shape of the taillights echoes the previous daytime running lights. The center of the taillights is the English logo of the car name. The tail also uses two exhausts on both sides.

In terms of interior, the entire center console is very layered. The two-color interior with upper white and lower dark shows elegance. The instrument panel and the center control screen are designed through-type, and the steering wheel also adopts a dual-color design. The two-spoke design is particularly unique. . The seats in the car also echo the two-tone interior theme.

Haji will have a hybrid version and a fuel version. The hybrid version is equipped with Dongfeng Mach Power MHD hybrid engine and uses ternary batteries. The fuel version is equipped with a 1.5T engine with an estimated maximum power of 150 kW (204 hp) and a peak torque of 350 Nm. It is matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
